American White Pelican, Upper Mississippi Valley, Green Island Wildlife Area
American White Pelicans are pretty common in the Mississippi Valley and mostly we can see them acting together in small or larger flocks, catching fish or soar overhead. When a lonely bird quietly swims by and there is a reflection on the water, and finally the light is just right, I can’t resist and have to make the click. It’s such a majestic bird.
