The tip came from the blog of my photography friend Dave Updegraff this morning. He shared that a large number of American White Pelicans were at the 16th Street Basin in Dubuque. I thought I give it a try and went there even twice today. I'm actually not a big fan of this pond, it is surrounded by busy roads and therefor a very noisy location, but it was worth both trips.
